And just like that, the summer months have arrived! Fathers will be celebrated, students will be graduating and new ones will be joining the Gaowa family. Let the summer fun begin!!
Recap of May:
In the month of May, we held our annual Muffins with Mom, celebrating our wonderful mothers of Gaowa. Your love, care and work for your child(ren) will always be recognized by us. The world is a better place with each and every one of our mothers.
On the topic of gratitude and thankfulness, our teachers were showered with heartfelt gifts and creative artworks by the Gaowa families. The work that our teachers put into planning and creating a prepared, nurturing environment goes above and beyond our expectations. We are truly grateful for all that they have done. Thank you, again, for all of the gifts and yummy food!

*Note: If the celebration day happens to be on the same day of when your child isn’t attending, they may switch one of their days. For example, if their schedule is Tuesday-Friday and the celebration is on Monday, they may switch their schedule to be Monday-Thursday. If this option does not work for you, you may stop by the school to only attend the celebration.
Gaowa Graduation (June 23rd):
A ceremony and picnic will be held for the children who are graduating. If you have an earlier withdrawal date, you are more than welcome to stop by to attend!! More details to come.
Summer Activities:
Starting on the week of June 26th to August 31st, we will begin our summer activities. Every Friday, we will incorporate a water activity. Please have your child ready with their water clothes underneath their uniforms.

Event: Hansel & Gretel - Opera for Kids!
Date & Time: June 3 @ 10:00AM & 11:00AM
Location: Segerstrom Center for the Arts 600 Town Center Dr, Costa Mesa
Price: Depends on seating section, but ranges from $20 - $97
Information: This fairy-tale adventure tells the story of two hungry children lost in an enchanted forest, an inviting gingerbread house and a wicked witch. This kid-friendly production features spoken narration and acting, as well as the most charming and catchy tunes from the original opera, sung by talented opera singers.
Event: Kids Carnival
Date & Time: June 4 @ 5:00PM - 7:00PM
Location: First Christian Church of Huntington Beach - Food Distribution Center 1207 Main St. Huntington Beach
Price: Free, but food is available for purchase.
Information: Come kick off the summer with us at our Kids Carnival! for carnival games, fun activities, and dinner! This event is for the whole family, but it is geared towards 5th grade and under.
Event: National Children’s Day
Date & Time: June 11 @ 1:00PM - 5:00PM
Location: Eastwood Village 102 Mangrove Banks, Irvine
Price: Must RSVP by June 1st
