Reminders

Uniforms

The children must be dressed in their Gaowa shirts/dresses. As for bottoms, they must be khaki-colored, or dark colors (black, blue). Please no bright colors or printed bottoms. Shoes must be comfortable and closed-toe with a grip to ensure the safety of the children. Outerwear includes their dark blue cardigans and/or their own personal jackets if needed. This is applicable for Monday through Thursday. Fridays are a free-for-all, but no costumes (ex: princess dresses) as they are difficult to move around in when they're playing and we want the children to be safe. If it is their birthday/spirit day/holiday they are free to dress festively. A specific message will be sent out on how to dress for spirit days/holidays.

Front Door

The door sensor to exit the building must be done only by an adult. The children should not touch this sensor as this is a safety concern and we do not want them running out of the building unaccompanied.

Fountain

Please keep rocks out of our beautiful fountain. In order for it to stay running, it needs to be cleared of any debris so that it doesn't get clogged up.

What a bittersweet way to start our summer. We will continue our summer activities packed with outdoor play and some water fun. In addition, we will travel to North America for our Artist of the Month.

Recap of June

June was jam-packed with school events. We celebrated our hardworking and loving fathers of Gaowa by hosting our annual Father’s Day celebration. We hope our fathers felt the love. We are happy to provide special moments like these to show our appreciation.

In addition to our Donuts with Dad, our Class of 2023 accomplished their first educational milestone in their lives and received their Preschool Diploma. We couldn't be more proud of our graduating class. We wish them a future filled with happiness and success. A few of these children were with us from the beginning and it has been an honor to see them grow. They will always be a part of our family through and through.

Artist of the Month: Jackson Pollock

“Paul Jackson Pollock was an American painter. A major figure in the abstract expressionist movement, Pollock was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles.”
